FAQ
1. Is there a dress-code? What do I wear?
Many of you who are attending your first Indian wedding will be wondering what to wear. Whilst it is an Indian wedding - you are more than welcome to wear formal/semi-formal western wedding attire or wear Asian wedding wear. Please don't worry too much about what to wear, as there will be plenty of guests dressed in either attire style.
2. Do I need a visa to travel to India?
If you do not have an Indian citizenship, you most probably do need a visa. One can apply for a visa online, with no embassy/consulate visit required. The website can be glitchy, so give yourself extra time and don't panic if it acts up. The process takes about 10–15 minutes and approval usually comes within a few days, but we recommend applying well in advance to be safe. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date. Requirements can vary slightly depending on your home country, so please double check with the Indian Embassy or Consulate where you live if you have questions regarding this.
3. Will airport pickups/drops be arranged?
Airport transfers are not arranged, but getting to and from the airport is easy. You can either pre-book them via cab-aggregators like Ola and Uber or even hop into one directly at the airport, with no pre-booking required. For airport drops, we'd recommend booking your cab a day ahead just to be safe. The hotel will might be able to arrange it, check with them. There are public busses too, but a cab will be comfortable. One thing to note: Bangalore airport is quite far from the city, so the ride to your accommodation usually takes 60-90 minutes depending on traffic, so plan accordingly
4. Will accommodation be provided?
Stay will only be provided for friends and family travelling from outside Bangalore. We’d love to host you all and make sure you’re comfortably settled for the celebrations!
5. What are the hotel check-in and check-out dates and timings?
Check-in is on 08.12.2026 14:00 onwards, and check-out is on 11.12.2026 at 12:00 noon.
6. What if I would like to check in later?
No problem at all! If your travel plans mean you’d like to check in later, just let us know in advance. For example, if you’d prefer to check in on 9th, we can arrange your stay accordingly. Your check-out will remain the same on the 11th. Just make sure to share your travel plans with us by 15th October so we can make the necessary arrangements.
6. Do I need to make any payment at the hotel during check-in? What's the check-in procedure?

8. What kind of food awaits us ?
There would be plenty to discover! A multi-cuisine vegetarian spread and snacks will be served throughout the wedding celebrations. We especially recommend not missing the freshly made South Indian idli and dosa.
As this is also a religious occasion, alcohol will not be served, and we kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing their own.
Also Breakfast is not included as part of the hotel package. However, there are plenty of restaurants and eateries near the hotel, so only if required you can easily order-in using food-delivery apps like Swiggy and Zomato.
9. How can I contribute/gifts?
We are not accepting gifts at the wedding. Your presence is a gift in itself.
10. How can I travel within Bangalore?
Cab services like Ola and Uber work well in Bangalore. Alternatively, you could book an auto-rickshaw using Namma Yatri (nammayatri.in). Stick to app-booked transport rather than hailing on the street for convenience. Walking is not recommended if it's more than a kilometer away.
11. What's the address of the venue?
The exact addresses will be shared in due time. Not all events are at the same location, but they're all close to the accommodation, within about 5 km.
12. Can I take photos/videos during the events?
While there is a team of photographers and videographers, feel free to take as many as you like.

No, please drink bottled water only. Ice in drinks at restaurants/hotels is usually fine, but be cautious at street stalls. The wedding functions will have bottled water.
14. What's the weather like in Bangalore in December?
December is rather pleasant in Bangalore and mostly (and hopefully) dry, with daytime temperatures around 25–30°C and evenings/nights dropping to around 15–17°C.
15. What currency do I use and how do I pay?
India uses the Rupee (INR). Cards are accepted at hotels, malls, and larger restaurants, but not always at small shops or street vendors. Bring a Visa or Mastercard and let your bank know you're travelling. Cash is useful for smaller purchases. UPI (India's QR-code payment system) is how most places prefer to be paid. Tourist-friendly UPI apps like CheqUPI or Mony UPI let you set up a wallet without an Indian bank account, useful if you're in India for a while. A card, plus some cash, and a UPI wallet will cover you well.
16. Should I get an eSIM or local SIM for data?
While the hotel will have WiFi, the wedding venues will not. Having mobile data will make things much easier, for booking cabs, staying in touch, and getting around. Many EU carriers offer eSIMs for India (e.g. Airalo, Holafly, Saily), which you can activate before you land. Alternatively, you can pick up a SIM at the airport on arrival, but require a day to activate.
17. Will I be able to communicate in English?
Yes, English is widely spoken and understood, especially in hotels, restaurants, and tourist areas, so you shouldn't run into any language barriers.
